Topiary - a luxurious decor for a festive table

If you like to decorate the table for the holiday, then you probably know that the topiary is ideal for this. Therefore, today we offer to make an original product for Easter.

To do this, we need the following:

  • pot;
  • green peas;
  • dry moss;
  • foam ball;
  • brush;
  • PVA glue;
  • wooden stick or skewer;
  • floristic sponge;
  • knife;
  • paints;
  • glue gun;
  • green acrylic paint.

If you plan to cut the ball yourself, it is best to process it a little with sandpaper. This is necessary so that the surface is as flat as possible. Also, if desired, it can be noted on it where a wooden stick will be attached.

We paint a ball of polystyrene foam in tone with green peas. We do this on the one hand and leave it to dry completely. We repeat the same thing on the other hand and wait for drying.

Cut a small hole for a wooden stick. Only after that we start decorating. Apply PVA glue to the surface of the ball with a brush and immediately sprinkle it with peas.

After a small portion of the ball dries, proceed to the next. We do everything gradually until we cover the entire surface. Leave the workpiece for a day until completely dry. If there are small gaps, then be sure to fill them with croup.

We put a little hot glue into the hole in the ball and immediately insert a wooden skewer or a flat stick. When it is securely fixed, decorate the remaining free space with peas.

We proceed to the preparation of the pot. If desired, it can be painted in any shade or several. In this case, it is as much as three colors and their combination looks very beautiful. After the pot dries, put the prepared floral sponge inside.

Insert a wooden stick with a ball into the sponge. It is very important that the design is fairly stable. Decorate the base of the topiary with dry moss or sisal. Beautiful, original decor for the festive table is ready!

Original decor for the frame

Using cereals of different types, even the simplest frame can be transformed without problems. Moreover, if desired, it can be done independently.

To do this, you will need:

  • thick cardboard;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • cereals or beans;
  • hot glue;
  • small magnets.

On the sheet of cardboard we apply the external and internal borders of the frame. We use a pencil and a ruler for this.

We cut the workpiece and from the inside attach two small magnets.

On the outside, glue the groats and beans in random order or adhering to some pattern. It remains only to wait for drying, stick a photo and you can safely hang the frame on the refrigerator.

DIY bird feeder

In the cold season, it is very important to help the birds by placing at least small feeders on the tree branches. Therefore, we recommend making several such crafts with your child.

First, pour water into the pan and bring it to a boil. In the process, add gelatin and heat for a few more minutes. Leave the mixture to cool slightly and pour it into a bowl. Pour the feed there and mix. We put parchment on the working surface, and iron molds on top. Fill them with a mixture and ram.

From the ribbon or twine we make small loops and put the edges in the feed. Put a little more feed on top. We put the blanks in the freezer for at least 20 minutes. After that we take them out and leave them on the working area for no less than a day.

We take out the feeders from the molds and hang them on the trees.

To create a Christmas wreath you will need:

We apply PVA glue or hot glue to the inside of the wreath and immediately sprinkle with green peas. Leave the workpiece for an hour and only after drying, go to the next part.

Gradually decorate the inside of the Christmas wreath.

In the same way we cover with peas and the entire external part of the workpiece.

After the entire workpiece has dried, inspect it. If there are voids, then be sure to fill them with peas.

We tie the wreath with twine, twine or ribbon and decorate the door.
