Unusual interior of one Scottish apartment

Each ethnic culture has a country style in the interior has its own characteristics, its individual elements and the nuances of space design. In this publication, we would like to introduce you to the decor of the apartment, which is located in Scotland and is a vivid example of how you can decorate a modern home with the help of design solutions in country style. These small apartments that emit light, cleanliness and homeliness can be an inspiration for homeowners who are looking for new and fresh ideas for organizing space in an unconventional way, but with comfort.

We begin a small tour of the Scottish dwelling with the most spacious, main and central room - the living room. Many rooms in the apartment have an asymmetric shape, partially sloped ceilings, so it is not surprising that homeowners chose a light color palette to finish the surfaces of the space. The snow-white walls and ceiling, in the company with beige flooring, do an excellent job of visually expanding the space, giving it freshness and lightness. In the interior of the living room, as well as other rooms, we will see a lot of country elements and wood furniture, carved, antique, really antique or artificially aged.

The harmonious combination of modern decor and furnishings with antique elements allows you to create a unique, but at the same time incredibly cozy interior.

Against the background of light decoration of the living room, carved chairs made of dark wood look the most advantageous. Particular attention is paid to textiles, thanks to which it is possible to create a truly homely, warm atmosphere.

The living room is connected to the kitchen area, represented by a single-row arrangement of work surfaces and storage systems. Thanks to the built-in system of cabinets, into the space of which all the necessary household appliances have been successfully integrated, the kitchen space takes up very little space. If the living room space is illuminated using an original design chandelier, a built-in lighting system is provided for the kitchen working surfaces.

In modern kitchens, the stove is often replaced with a hob, thereby freeing up a lot of space for storage systems in the lower tier of kitchen cabinets. Given the presence of an oven, the family can be provided with all the necessary household appliances for cooking various dishes, with significant savings in the space of the kitchen area.

The dining area is located in a separate room from the kitchen and living room. Here we also see light finishes, so necessary for a small room and wooden furniture, which has become a symbol of the Scottish apartments. Original decor items not only add variety to the interior of the dining room, but also create an individual, personalized atmosphere.

As bedspreads, furniture upholstery and textile for pillows, natural materials are used - cotton and linen. Obviously, it is these fabrics that are most consistent with country style, wooden furniture and the spirit of antiquity, placed in a modern home.

Next we will proceed to the private rooms and visit the bedroom. Not surprisingly, in this room with a modest size was used light finish for all surfaces. Even the bedroom furniture is either made of light wood, or painted white.

Due to the two-tier arrangement of beds, it was possible to save a significant amount of bedroom space, without violating the aesthetics of the room.

At the head of the beds there are shallow niches that allow you to place what is called “at hand” the necessary items. Thanks to the wall lamp. You can read a book before going to bed and for this you do not have to get out of bed.

A small sitting area and partly a reading corner is represented by light furniture - a small table and chairs dressed in funny covers with a painted frame of these pieces of furniture.

Near the bedroom there is a small bathroom. With the help of light finishes, the use of glass and mirror surfaces, it was possible to visually expand the space of the room for water procedures. The combined decoration with ceramic stone tiles and moisture-resistant plaster creates an interesting appearance of the bathroom.

Marble countertops and a small shelf for accessories, the color of the tiles, perfectly completes the image of the bathroom.

The shine of the modern attributes of the bathroom, necessary for water procedures, looks great on the background of tiles imitating natural stone.
