Arbor with oven, barbecue or barbecue - a necessary element of landscape design

Not so long ago, summer residents and owners of suburban or urban private houses with plots had to be content with portable metal barbecues and standard wooden arbors, which often did not satisfy the owners' needs for a comfortable stay. Nowadays, the construction of a full-fledged gazebo with an oven, barbecue and barbecue - a whole complex for cooking on fire, is not difficult. Multifunctional stove complexes can be used as full-fledged summer kitchens, which are operated in the open air and in accordance with all fire safety rules.

Types of furnaces for arbors, awnings or light pavilions

Gazebo with a stove - the building is incredibly practical and convenient. Many owners of cottages or household plots would not refuse the opportunity not only to fry kebabs, but also to cook porridges and soups, to smoke food and stew meat - all this in the fresh air, but with weather protection. In terms of functionality, the following types of furnaces for arbors and open pavilions can be distinguished:

1. The built-in kiln complex is a brick building, including a grill, oven, smokehouse and stove. If you equip the gazebo with such a complex, then you get the opportunity to cook almost any dish. But the manufacture of such a design will require you to build skills, as well as the proper preparation of the plan (this is the case when contacting specialists is the best outcome of the situation);

2. Brazier stove. A distinctive feature of such an oven is the ability to cook dishes only on skewers or removable grills. This is a great option for kebab lovers. The furnace has a simple design, it is often combined with a smokehouse, which significantly expands its functionality. Stationary structures of this type of furnace are usually erected together with a gazebo or canopy. If you already have a wooden gazebo on the site, then it is easier to install a metal brazier. Such portable designs usually do not take up much space and are very convenient. In some cases, it is advisable to make the portable barbecue stationary and overlay it with brick;

3. BBQ stove. By design, this type of oven is similar to a barbecue, but instead of skewers, a grill is used to unfold the products. On the one hand, it’s easier to use such a device, on the other hand, it’s more difficult to clean after use. A stationary barbecue oven is also built of brick, as well as its counterpart for cooking skewers (barbecue oven).

Recently, the most widespread type of stationary barbecue oven, complete with countertop and sink. Such a complex most closely meets the needs of the owners of arbors with ovens for cooking various dishes. If you use a portable barbecue oven, then most often it is installed in such a way that it is convenient to hang an hood over it.

4. Portable barbecue. This is a practical, portable device made of metal, resistant to corrosion and quite durable under the condition of proper operation. It is easy to purchase a ready barbecue and install it in the arbor already on the site. If you do not plan to move the brazier, you can cover the structure with bricks, increasing strength and reliability, extending the life of the unit. In this case, the fire will be planted inside the box, and the products can either be laid out on a wire rack or strung on skewers.

5. Collapsible cooking appliances on fire. Inexpensive, portable designs that, if necessary, can be disassembled and folded into a small box of boxes. The main disadvantage of such devices is the manufacturer’s savings on the material, which quickly loses its strength and deforms when the temperature changes.

6. Gas grill - heat from stones is used to prepare various dishes;

7.Smoker grill - one of the novelties in the field of equipment for cooking, used to obtain grilled meat and smoked products.

8. Oven-cauldron. The design has a hole for installing a cauldron, designed for cooking pilaf, shurpa, stewed vegetables and meat.

9. Oven-roaster. The design is designed for cooking solid fuel.

10.Furnace fireplace. Most often used if the gazebo is supposed to be an all-weather construction. But even in the open pavilion you can admire the dance of fire in the hearth. In addition, the device can be used as a barbecue or barbecue.

Apart from the variety of stove options for garden gazebos and awnings, I would like to highlight such a structure as the “Russian stove”. The main advantage of this design of the mini-oven is its multifunctionality. In such an oven, it will be possible not only to fry kebabs and grill vegetables, but also to cook porridges and soups, fry pancakes, stew meat and vegetables. But the complex called "mini-oven in Russian" is a rather complicated construction from the point of view of construction. Installation of the "Russian stove" is best left to professionals.

The choice of material for the manufacture of a gazebo, canopy or pavilion with a furnace

Gazebo with a stove, barbecue and barbecue are most often used as a summer kitchen, i.e. in addition to cooking appliances, they are equipped with sinks, countertops, sometimes a lunch group is also set there. Depending on what seasons it is planned to use the building, models of open or closed pavilions and building materials for them are selected. Most owners of cottages and household plots opt for open gazebos, and sometimes even ordinary awnings.

The choice of material for the manufacture of the gazebo is based on the appearance and the used construction and finishing raw materials in the main building (household) and other buildings of the yard or plot. Also, the choice of material for the execution of the gazebo is affected by its size and configuration.

Wooden arbors

It is difficult to imagine a more environmentally friendly, malleable from the point of view of processing material that would look so organically in a country and homely exterior as wood. The material traditional for the manufacture of arbors easily fits into any style of landscape design. Even on the territory where there are no more buildings made of wood, the gazebo or canopy made in this natural material will look not only appropriate, but also attractive, modern.

Arbors made of wood are quite light and will not require a massive foundation, but it all depends on the breed you have chosen. In addition, the foundation will be necessary for the installation of a stationary furnace (made of brick or stone). For the manufacture of summer houses, canopies and open pavilions, you can use:

  • timber;
  • log;
  • a board;
  • slats for decorative grilles;
  • and even an array.

A wooden gazebo will last much longer if its surfaces are timely treated with special compounds that protect the products from moisture and make them fireproof.

Brick and stone structures

The obvious advantages of brick and stone buildings are durability and strength. If a gazebo or pavilion is planned, which is called "for centuries", then there is no point in saving on materials and services of builders. In addition, brick and stone structures are fireproof, serve for many years and their surfaces do not require periodic maintenance.

Of course, brick as a building material for summer cottages or small pavilions within the framework of urban private housing is used many times more often than stone. For obvious economic reasons, this material has become a favorite - raw materials and installation are much cheaper.

To build a gazebo or a canopy with brick columns, it will be necessary to equip a fairly massive foundation. As a rule, in such structures the stove is laid out of bricks (refractory) to create the most harmonious outwardly, strong and durable, functional ensemble.

Combined country pavilions

The use of several types of building material for the construction of country and garden gazebos is a fairly common option. Most combinations are associated with the cost reduction of the entire project, but without loss of strength and durability of the structure. You can combine:

  • wood;
  • a rock;
  • brick;
  • metallic profile;
  • junk material.

One of the most common ways is to combine wood and brick. As a rule, the working area is decorated with brick, and for the segment of rest or eating, choose wood. Such a universal alliance leads to the creation of practical, aesthetic and modern buildings, ready for any natural disasters and to satisfy all your needs for outdoor recreation. From the point of view of aesthetics, materials are perfectly combined with each other and together can become an adornment of any courtyard or summer cottage.
