French traditions in a modern interpretation

At the mention of the French style, the imagination immediately draws rich chambers with a characteristic decoration in the spirit of Louis. In today's reality, palace kitsch is a thing of the past and, moreover, this definition means not only luxury, but also more adapted Provencal and Norman trends. On the example of a materialized project, we will get acquainted with the features of the northern concept, in which there is a place for things with history and technological materials. The complex mix is noticeably different from the country, formed according to different rules, where simple presentation and uncomplicated decor in a rustic manner captivate with simplicity and color.

With the participation of vintage and everyday things, compromise improvisations are created with a combination of different configurations, lines and coverings. Thus, the deep and comfortable Berger chair is patented by the French. The presence of wood in its body and textured upholstery recall the trends of Baroque, the influence of Empire and Rococo. A unique collection based on European classics is complemented by the table "Geridon" or its copy in its current incarnation.

Since the requirements for furniture in objective reality are determined exclusively by urgent needs and are aimed at minimalism, its design has undergone an aesthetic correction. Therefore, dense satin can safely replace velvet and at the same time rhyme perfectly with a smoky background. However, this is a matter of taste, wealth and mentality. The emphasized demonstration of well-being is not welcomed by the French and just a couple of accent touches with a hint of respectability are enough.

Facets of classics and modernity

The living room is equipped with objects that vary in color and decor and combine the stylistic nuances of different eras. Design is subordinate to one idea - to create a certain mood in the cold perimeter, where there is no pretentiousness and eclectic piling up. Therefore, an inexpensive glass construction, bought on the occasion and an expensive table from an antique store will easily coexist in a democratic space.

In the living room there was a place for a leather armchair, an elegant white pair and a sofa from one set. The brown color of the details in the interior exposition has become a binder. In the community of muted tones, intense natural lighting, high ceilings and a careful selection of complementary things, the room has an appropriate atmosphere with a hint of good taste. Wooden parquet has a respectable appearance and is appropriate in all rooms. Vinyl laminate, stone or ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathroom are also relevant. Light paint on the smooth plaster of the walls and ceiling creates a clean canvas for the future interior story.

Despite the fact that traditions require focusing on natural foundations in decoration and hulls and serving them for centuries, and wood processing technology tends to be lightly worn, different textures and their combinations in the same environment are allowed. The metal frame and legs of the coffee table successfully echoes the chairs that make up the overall installation company in the opposite zone. According to the idea, a compact tea table and ottoman are necessarily present in the front room. And although the style implies smooth tone transitions and close shades, the deliberate contrast of black planes and white walls only gives peppercorns.

This style coincides with the principles of modern Art Nouveau with its flowing colors, which are increasingly being used in current designs. The idea with a rack along the wall is also borrowed from a universal project and solves the problem of placing trifles and equipment. A pair of antique vases on open shelves will successfully make the company of a luxurious crystal chandelier. And if the windows and doors are wide open, a beautiful view from the balcony and a mini-greenhouse will become part of the room composition. The panorama is complemented by walls lined with wooden lamellas and flower pots, a wooden floor. The picturesque perimeter has a long tea party at a comfortable table.

We combine beauty and practicality

If among connoisseurs of classics in the living room, attention is concentrated around a soft group and filigree decoration of details, in the dining room, often everything is built around a dresser cabinet. A vintage sideboard requires appropriate neighborhood and spaciousness. In this project, the object of art is excluded, and the kitchen is equipped with universal hanging cabinets and practical drawers. Modules from veneered MDF compete with wood in operational capabilities and do an excellent job of storing utensils and equipment.

Life is organized according to a scenario familiar to everyone and is no different from typical equipment: restrained, rational and thoughtful. The facades differ in warm and cold colors, and the footage of the room determines the dimensions of the dining set. Judging by the "eloquent" attributes on the shelves, functional decor and minor details are welcomed, although beautiful porcelain, small bouquets in transparent vases, souvenir plates on the walls are not excluded.

Pictures are one of the important design details and without them it is difficult to create the appropriate surroundings. The works of the impressionists Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and their followers - Paul Gauguin and Cezanne, Henri Matisse and other artists are considered the standard of good taste and become accentuated in design. To create the necessary surroundings, it will not be superfluous to place elegant figurines, caskets, forged candelabra on the shelves.

There are no unnecessary items in the bedroom. Glance stops at the crystal chandelier and mantelpiece. Brown marble with a web of light stains subconsciously adds heat to the white space, not to mention the living energy emanating from the fire. However, the option with electric heating is also relevant, as are the modest fragments of stucco molding around the portal and the plaster medallion under the chandelier. An impressive stone finish allows you to combine decor and functionality, defining a place for small things. The presence of a large mirror in a solid frame confirms the possibility of organizing a dressing table. An unchanging duet of glass tables in a metal frame with forged legs, standing near the head of the bed, completes the composition and their luster echoes the reflection of crystal pendants.

The bedspread and walls merge with the background, and only the shade on the pillows and the walnut floor add variety to the monotony of the bedroom. From the ornate forged balcony railings it is difficult to tear your eyes away. The skillfully designed parapet serves as a magnificent setting for a lively urban painting. Decorative restraint, focusing on the merits of furniture and textures, the lack of color saturation confirms the aristocratic origin of the style.

The bathroom is furnished as intended. Here you can not do without tiles or wall panels with reliable imitation of different textures. Windows open to the sun, mirrors and a glass sliding panel add to the perimeter of the volume.

Design in this manner is best implemented in old houses with high walls, elaborate stucco moldings and ceiling medallions, and slightly worn oak flooring. Wide interior doors with brass fittings can be replaced with chrome or copper elements. Lightweight patina on massive handles and auxiliary accessories of large sizes are also relevant for such a feed. And if you inherited a chandelier from your grandmother, with crystal clouded from time to time, you can reproduce the French style in the aggregate of objects with history and modern products.
