Handmade floral decor on the pillow

Looking for interesting pillow decor solutions? A wonderful decoration can be a graceful motley flower sewn by yourself. Using bright patches of fabric, you can easily create an original composition that will bring a fresh touch to the familiar interior. Refined decor will look great on several pillows, giving a special style and character to your favorite room.

Before you begin, prepare everything you need:

• a pillow;
• the cloth;
• scissors;
• thick thread;
• a needle with a big eye.

Now let's start the invention of the product itself:

1. Cut a long strip of fabric and fold it with an accordion.

2. Firmly holding the bottom of the folded flap, cut out the top in the shape of a petal. Do not cut too deep, leaving a transverse strip at the bottom of the product. In expanded form, you should get the petals on the strip, located at the same distance from each other.

3. Insert a sufficiently long thread into the needle. Tie knots at both ends and pull the thread along the bottom strip of fabric.

4. Close the circle with one last stitch, thus creating a flower. Leave enough fabric at the base of the product to make it comfortable to sew it to the pillow.

For example, we used a combination of lace, transparent fabrics and cotton. You can add more vibrant colors, noble materials, elegant shapes and textures. Experiment with patterns, styles, and all kinds of combinations.
