Do-it-yourself decorative web

Decorating your apartment for Halloween is a fun and creative process. Despite the fact that now you can buy a wide variety of decorative elements in stores, there is a special charm in making them yourself.

The web, woven from woolen threads, can be placed anywhere - for example, on a wall or on a window. This is a simple but at the same time interesting composition just in the spirit of Halloween.

To make a web, you will need:

  1. thick thread (for example, woolen);
  2. scissors;
  3. masking tape or other adhesive tape.

1. Making the basis of the web

First you need to take 3 or 4 threads and form the basis of the web from them. The threads should intersect in the center, and they can be fixed with tape or nails. Each thread, after crossing in the center, is attached to the outer edge (thus, six long warp threads will be obtained from three long threads).

2. We form rings

Then you need a long thread to weave the transverse parts of the web. At each intersection of the transverse threads with the longitudinal, you need to tie a strong knot. This is necessary so that the threads do not move out.

3. Cut off the excess

Continue weaving in this way until the end of the web. After finishing, cut off all excess threads. Web rings can be located closer or further from each other - this will affect its appearance.

4. Done!

The size of the web depends on the place of attachment and your desire! It looks interesting several cobwebs of different sizes. You can also use multi-colored threads - so the composition will look more original. Well, of course, the final touch will be a toy spider, it can be fixed on the web with thin threads.
