Fashion leaves - style remains: classic in interior design

It would seem that there is nothing easier than to choose the most liked option among the many interior designs. But, nevertheless, it is a huge number of design techniques that can catch us by surprise, because all this is so beautiful and curious that sometimes it is not easy to decide. Undoubtedly, each trendy modern style is original and beautiful in its own way, but, unfortunately, is fleeting. And I want to equip the house not for a year or two, and the classics are just a great alternative to any modern design.

The classic style in home decoration always remains popular, because it has passed the test of a variety of fashion trends and generations. It is no coincidence that prestigious organizations most often apply classics in interior design, thereby imitating established traditions and emphasizing the strength of a solid business.

Organic filling

Classic in the interior does not tolerate piles, so you need to be extremely selective in relation to the little things. This time, professionals need to carefully consider how to incorporate modern technology into an elite centuries-old design so that it does not look like some kind of alien object, violating the overall harmony. At the same time, all household appliances are placed in special blocks, retractable structures and deep niches. It is important to design the design so that charming sculptures, paintings, floorpots, elegant lamps and expensive dishes are in plain sight, but not a huge plasma TV that does not fit into the surrounding beauty.

Canons of classic interior

In the modern world, the classic interior is almost identical to the luxury that dominated the houses in the 17-18 centuries. And above all, it is:

  • spacious bright rooms with the correct outlines;
  • an abundance of mirrors that visually expand the space;
  • luxurious architecture in the form of columns, sculptural elements, a fireplace framed by natural or artificial marble;
  • natural wood furniture inlaid with mother of pearl and bronze with pink, blue or greenish upholstery;

  • spectacular expensive textiles in the form of satin, silk, high-quality viscose and cotton in the same tone or with a barely noticeable pattern;
  • a noble color palette - a combination of white with gilding, pastel colors, and sometimes strict black blotches.

Classic in the living room: an example to follow

Undoubtedly, the classic style in the living room is a testament to the refined elegance and bourgeois spirit of the owners of the house. The interior, like a real work of art, is distinguished by expensive materials and exclusive furniture. Luxurious mirrors in expensive textured frames, a tea designer table made of natural valuable wood, low soft armchairs are signs of a real classic living room.

For the dining area, it is better to choose furniture with carved elegant legs and solid upholstery in harmony with the overall design. Lamps, sconces and floor lamps as jewelry decorate an elite living room, and a crystal chandelier with natural expensive stones will become the main object of admiration for the long-awaited guests. Oddly enough, but for a classic interior, spotlight is also quite suitable. It is important to correctly combine beauty and practicality.

A great idea is to give the living room a semicircular shape, and in the whole layout pay special attention to functionality. Thus, it is possible to achieve maximum free space, volume and expressiveness of all surfaces.

Shelves with exclusive souvenirs will decorate the living room, luxurious textiles with fringe, tassels or braided threads, expensive porcelain dishes.

Chic bedroom in a classic style

The classics for the bedroom are incompatible with excessive pomp and elegance, but a modest allusion to wealth and noble triumph is very appropriate.

The general atmosphere should be conducive to a comfortable rest and protect as much as possible from everyday hustle and bustle. So, in the color scheme preference is given to calm noble tones. A pastel palette of cream, olive, bluish, light yellow shades combined with warm colors of parquet and furniture is an excellent solution for a classic bedroom.

An excellent complement to the style will be the grisaille - a unique wall painting in gray-white tones that imitates the sculpture.

It is good when the project of the house is specially thought out for the traditional style - this will allow you to decorate the room with columns and other interesting objects. The walls can be covered with a special cloth, or can be sheathed with panels or wooden lining. The best option for flooring is parquet made of real wood.

The shapes and outlines of the furniture set in the classic design of the bedroom must be selected in accordance with established traditions. There is no hint of metal, plastic and minimalism in any of its manifestations. The random arrangement of objects is also not appropriate here, but symmetry, on the contrary, will become another important sign of harmony in a classical bedchamber.

Noble design for the kitchen

To the best of festive elegance and at the same time a cozy atmosphere in the kitchen, made based on the classics, will emphasize the exquisite taste and the best aspects of the owners of the house.

Its design is filled with nonrandom elements that create a harmonious integrity and unique aesthetics. Such a tradition is the embodiment of the best customs of different eras and countries.

But despite its originality and high cost, first of all, the kitchen must be functional. Today, professional designers skillfully hide modern technology behind the luxury of classic apartments. A real highlight can be a chic wine storage built in from the back of a large table in the center.

Soft shades of the walls, ceramic tiles on the floor, a window framed by cute tied curtains with fringe will certainly ennoble the traditional style.

The indispensable attributes of classic cuisine are natural wood and marble.

Classic accent bathroom

The classic interior will give completeness to the stately interior. Small podiums, columns, countertops and oval or round sinks, graceful armchairs, expensive chandeliers and even luxurious art paintings are the basis of the style for the bathroom. Of particular importance are such trifles as gold, bronze or copper handles and hinges, elegant faucets, carved legs at the bathroom.

A characteristic feature of the classic bathroom is the symmetry in the interior. A voluminous round bathroom in the center opposite the window, on both sides of which elegant apartments are located symmetrically with identical mirrors create a unity of style, a sense of balance, calm and comfort.

The genuine aristocratic luxury of the bathroom is shown below in the photograph. Noble gray-blue colors, striped textiles to match, a sophisticated pattern on the walls are artfully complemented by design elements - an elegant armchair, an exclusive mirror in expensive gilding and lovely bathroom accessories.

The elegant combination of black and white is a long-known tradition of classic interior design. This design also looks great in bathrooms. Black accents in the form of lamps, lamps and neat sideboards successfully dilute the white background, adding its own twist to the familiar traditional style.

Neoclassicism - a modern vision of traditional style

The name of the style itself speaks for itself: "neo" means "new." This is a kind of rethinking and nostalgia for the classics. The original interior now takes on a slightly different, new look.

In this design, modern materials and objects find their place. The balance between sophisticated decor, sophisticated forms, lines, characteristic symmetry and rational functionality, new technologies in the right proportions is important here.

In the interior design, traditional classical elements are still used - columns, pilasters, arches, magnificent paintings, flowerpots, expensive mirrors. But at the same time, the decor should not overload the room.

Below is a typical neoclassical bedroom. All the same combinations of forms - sophisticated rounded with strict straight lines, and colors - white, brown with golden splashes, retained an updated style. But unlike the usual classics, there is no flashy elegance and excessive cost.

A vivid image of neoclassical design is expressed in harmonious contrast: a lush crystal chandelier with gilding, a chic fireplace framed by stucco moldings, elegant vases, a traditional panel on the wall combine perfectly with simple forms of upholstered furniture and a coffee table with an oval glass surface. The unity of style is successfully emphasized by pastel colors.

Classics in English

Traditional restraint in the interior is the main feature of the English classics. Unobtrusive decor, a minimum of expensive stone finishes, a lot of wooden apartments, original accessories and, of course, natural fabrics - all these are irreplaceable attributes of style.

The decor must necessarily dominate relief textures - wool, velvet, tapestry, leather, linen, a combination of fabrics with vintage splashes. The pattern can be very different - from delicate roses on curtains, bedspreads or upholstery in the living room, playful peas on chintz in the kitchen to multi-colored cashmere in the bedroom. Luxurious canopies, covers on chairs and armchairs, magnificent woven lampshades are no less relevant.

A special place in the English classic interior is wall decoration. Sometimes they are sheathed with oak panels, pasted with embossed wallpaper with an exquisite ornament, a traditional strip or floral patterns. Another striking design sign is wall coverings imitating expensive silk, velvet or brocade.

Indispensable accessories in the design of the walls are an antique clock with Roman numerals and characteristic combat, paintings in chic frames with gilding, and picturesque engravings.

But no matter what qualities are attributed to the true English design, there are no clear boundaries and canons, because it personifies the spirit of different times and eras, sophisticated and original in its own way.

A tribute to tradition in the French interior

It was palace luxury that led to the birth of French classics. This style is ideal for spacious rooms with large beautiful windows and high ceilings. The highlight of the French interior is in the presence of characteristic original elements that give the design a truly national charm.

Perhaps, only French houses welcome a lot of dressing, tea or flower tables on elegant low legs. Square and round, made of wood or metal, marble or glass, they are found in the bedroom, and in the hallway, and in the living room.

French decor is an abundance of exclusive souvenirs, magnificent ceramic vases, flower pots, candle holders, caskets on tables and shelves.

Feature of the style is a noble combination of colors. Harmony is achieved through the use of similar shades with smooth transitions. Most often there are white, gray, greenish and lilac tones. The perfect combination of pistachio and beige, as well as muted shades of ocher and terracotta create a special warm atmosphere.

Indispensable attributes of the interior of France - Berger (low recessed chair for a comfortable stay); dressing room (original antique cupboard, which is the advantage of the dining room) and a geridon (graceful dining table).

Wicker furniture is also common. Elegant wicker chairs in combination with traditional classic apartments will complement the French interior.
