Repair surface damage

But at the same time, you can try to correct small but unpleasant defects at home. Walnut or iodine

This method has one significant drawback: it will take a long time to choose the right shade of the pencil. Major damage

If you need expensive repairs of Italian furniture, the correction of significant surface damage or complex breakdowns of mechanisms, you will have to contact a special company that repairs furniture at home.

The repair process in this case should be carried out by professionals with extensive experience. They will repair the walls of the cabinets or change them to similar ones when it is impossible to repair, replace worn parts.

Some serious defects that affect the operational properties of furniture can be fixed on their own, local repair will not cause difficulties for a neat person. The constant changes in temperature and humidity inherent in every working kitchen cause cracks, the legs of the tables become unusable over time. The repair should be completed as soon as possible, until the deformation has become very noticeable:

1. The usual PVA glue is collected in a medical syringe, for better penetration of the substance, the needle is removed;
2. Having put a needle on a full syringe, the crack is carefully filled with glue;
3. The part is tightly pressed with a clamp, the remaining glue protruding from the crack is removed;
4. After a day, the clamp is removed and the repaired part of the furniture is varnished. This will extend the life of the furniture and protect it from further damage.

Chips

For kitchen facades, it is advisable to use wax to repair furniture. The substance will help fix chips and cracks on the surface. For convenient application using wax pencils. Wax Repair Instructions:

1. Selection of the desired color. In order to repair chipboard furniture, in specialized stores purchase a wax pencil of a suitable shade. If you change the upholstery on all the chairs, you can choose a completely new color, combined with the interior of the room. Choose a strong and durable fabric. In addition to the upholstery, you will have to buy a soft filler, for example, synthetic winterizer;
3. The soft part is cut along the contour of the seat with a margin of a couple of centimeters;
4. The synthetic winterizer is put on the seat and covered with cloth, it is attached to the back of the seat with the help of a stapler;
5. After fastening, the inside of the upholstery should be covered with another piece of the same fabric. And put together a chair.

Stain removal

Stains on furniture are the most common defect. They may appear on soft surfaces or on MDF panels. Most modern furniture is made from this material, so every owner should know how to clean stains. The spots can have a different origin, for each spot has its own method of removal:

• Stains from varnish and paint from furniture are removed by applying a cotton pad with acetone. It can not be left on the surface for a long time in order to avoid large damage;
• Stains left on the surface by hot objects are removed using vodka and sunflower oil. The mixture is applied to the stain, after which it is removed, and the surface is wiped with a cloth. When the folk method does not help, you can resort to pencils for a laminated surface.

Stains are removed from textile surfaces immediately after they appear, until they are well-fed and can be easily disposed of.

1. Furniture should be vacuumed;
2. Before starting work, all cleaning products must be tested on an inconspicuous part of the upholstery. A vinegar dampened cloth wipes dirt;
3. The stain must be wiped with a napkin or cotton pad soaked in a soap solution. You can wait until it absorbs and starts working on removing the stain. The use of large amounts of water is not allowed; it is better to wet only the surface layer;
4. It is necessary to dry the upholstery without the use of special devices, to speed up the process, open the windows and create a draft.

In many homes, furniture is covered with bedspreads to prevent stains. This really helps when solid pollutants get on the surface, but if it comes to stains left by liquid substances, then only the removal of stains already obtained can help. To make it easier, they begin to fight pollution as soon as possible.
