The beauty of the rose has always attracted its attention. Musk rose is one of the brightest representatives of these exquisite flowers. However, the cultivation of musky roses, as well as caring for them is a troublesome task. Separately, it is worth mentioning about flowering. First, buds appear on the tops coming out of the base of the basal shoots, and only after a partial fading of the top do new buds appear on the side shoots. Lateral shoots are much larger than the basal ones, so from the side it seems that the whole bush is covered with flowers. This is a period of mass flowering and will last quite a long time.

The aroma of musky rose flowers is quite strong and pleasant., but not all representatives of this group possess this quality. Unfortunately, the finest varieties exude a very faint aroma, or even do not have it at all.

Comparison with other hybrids

Musk roses compares favorably with classical and other hybrids by the type of flowering. Flowers are collected in brushes and bloom all together, forming a magnificent cloud.

It is important that roses bloom in waves, and the dormant period between the flows is relatively short. This is a “tidbit” for lovers who prefer continuous flowering.

• For landing plan a well-lit, sunny place. It is advisable that after lunch this place is shaded. The root system of roses has a tendency to rot, in order to avoid this - drainage is important. Better yet, if the bush will grow on an elevation.
• It is necessary to start preparing the pit for planting roses in advance, because it should be given the opportunity to stand (several weeks). In a pit width and height of about half a meter, lay out the drainage, followed by a layer of compost and so leave until planting. If it is not possible to wait, the bottom should be tamped to avoid shrinkage of the bush.

An incredible variety with very unique inflorescences from a large abundance of flowers. Raspberry-pink flowers with a delightful snow-white middle and tempting yellow stamens in the center. Coloring is changeable. More flowers are milky white with a pinkish color, especially along the edge. In cold weather, rainbow flowers appear. The erect bush is covered with greenish foliage.

Variety with white and cream flowers. Very resistant to adverse weather conditions. Height is 160-175 cm, the bush is 130 cm in diameter. It blooms with luxurious inflorescences of velvet fragrant cup-shaped flowers with a diameter of 4-5 cm. It blooms generously and for a long time until frost.

Alden biesen

Bukavu

Universal variety, suitable for hedges and for cutting! Very resistant to absolutely all the vagaries of the weather. The height is 1.2-1.5 meters, the bush diameter is 1.5 m. A number of varieties, despite small flowers, are decorative and close, so it’s suitable for the front design of the flower garden, for example, “Ballerina”, the bush forms an almost regular ball.

Due to the natural look, musky hybrids will fit well into the landscape design and will be in harmony with decorative cereals. However, in the classical rose garden near traditional species, they will find a place.

Quite small-flowered non-double roses in combination with large-flowered varieties may look attractive.
